Prohibition of unauthorized collection of e-mail addresses
Article 50-2 of Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc Act
- No person shall collect an e-mail address due to the use of a technical device other than a program in which an e-mail address is collected automatically on the website of the Internet, which specifies his/her intention to refuse to collect an e-mail address.
- No person shall sell or distribute an e-mail address collected in violation of paragraph (1).
- No person shall use the transmission of information after he/she becomes aware that it is the address of an electronic mail whose collection, sale, and distribution is prohibited pursuant to paragraphs (1) and (2).
