The Jeonnam Museum of Art(JMA) presents New Aquisition, for its first exhibition in 2023. This exhibition reveals JMA’s collections from second half of 2021 to 2022. The collection of the museum is the thing that best reveals the identity of the museum. Museums collect, preserve, and studies their artworks in consideration of the direction it aims for the future. As JMA is the first provincial museum located in Jeollanam-do, JMA focuses on collecting the works by artists from Jeonnam, and works that containing beautiful scenery and historical story of Jeollanam-do. In addition, JMA collects various artworks with characteristics of contemporary and modernity, aims for a contemporary art museum. We hope that our exhibition could provide an opportunity to explore the aesthetics of contemporary art, remind the meaning of each artworks.
